I currently teach Earth Science, Intro to Physics and Chemistry, and STEAM. I also coach our new VEX robotics teams. I've been trained in Constructing Physics Understanding and Chemistry Modeling, and have been using the program's pedagogy in all the courses I teach. Last school year, I went through NGSX training where I was exposed to science talk. I feel science talk is an essential piece in my modeling instructions as it exposes the current thinking of students on the topic at hand, and helps me adjust my lessons so most, if not all, students reach the instructional objectives.
